about the image: This is the first contract from the BC Coalition of People with Disabilities (BCCPD). They asked me to create original art relating to their existing identity/logo to help launch their new Wellness & Disability Initiative/AIDs & Disability Action Program and Health Literacy Network.

During research on this project, i looked up the word "coalition" in an old dictionary and was excited to read one definition as... "fusion into one whole", which started the wheels turning for inspiration — Together... breaking the boundaries of disability... reaching for the stars... together we can give rise to change.
